Yesterday evening we each had a baby in our arms standing up and bouncing around. DS randomly looks over at his sister and just starts smiling this huge gummy smile! I was in complete awe of the whole thing, it's like he finally REALLY recognized her and was excited! A couple of times he even looked away and when he looked back at her he'd smiled again! I was so in love with the whole thing!

What's your favorite moment that your twins or multiples have shared that you are just in love with?

  • I love when they are laying in their play gym and just looking at each other and having a "conversation".  It's so cute :)

TTC since May 2006. After 3 failed Clomid cycles, 2 failed Injectibles/IUIs, 2 failed IVFs and 1 failed FET, we moved on to adoption!

Last ditch FET resulted in BFP, and identical twin girls!

Ours happened just a few weeks ago and we caught it on video.  They were playing on the floor, both laying on their tummies facing each other.  Z looked over at I and started to giggle.  So I started to giggle and they went back and forth like this for a good 15 minutes.  I will treasure that video forever!
  • My favorite so far is the day I caught them on the monitor, standing in their cribs, talking and laughing with each other....OP, awww there is nothing like that first moment of connection!

  • They used to cuddle all of the time, and then stopped for a few months. Lately though, one will lay her head in the others lap, and they will lay there for a few minutes at a time. The other night baby B laid in baby A's lap while they drank their bottles. It was so precious!

  • ha ha can I join with my in utero? The funniest moment was during an emergency ultrasound at 10 weeks, Baby B was kicking Baby A in the head, like CRAZY. B continues to be the one kicking in every ultrasound while A is so chill, probably beaten into submission :P (A is our bigger twin though!) Picture of kick in action: (grabbed from the video)

  • My favorite recent moment (there hae been many) was last week. They are 16 months old. We got out of the car at daycare for dropoff, the girls started to head towards the front door, I reached into the car to get their bag and when I shut the door and looked back up at them they were walking/toddling towards the door holding hands. So precious!!!
  • DS just started walking last week. DD will walk if she's holding on to your hands. I was walking her around the kitchen, DS walked around the corner, saw her "walking" and they both started giggling with each other and he came up to her and gave her a big hug and kiss (kiss = opened his mouth and tried to eat her face). <3<3<3

  • @sing4mysavior....that is the sweetest thing!! The other day Noah was crying and Luke crawled up to him and gave him a "baby kiss" (basically licked his forehead)....I also just about melted. :)

@CaliCarly77 do we have the same kids?? LOL that was exactly the situation w/ my boys....and still is! Baby A (Luke) is the bigger, more chill one, and Baby B (Noah) is our fireball.

  • We caught on video the first time the boys really noticed each other...right around 3 months....they were smiling and and giggling....the cutest thing I've ever seen and still melts my heart to watch it!

These days I love catching them brushing each others hair...it's their new fav thing to do!
  • I can't wait until they really notice each other! Today while tandem feeding, my girl was staring at her brother. :)
  • These memoirs are so heartwarming. I can't wait to meet my girls. :)

  • They shared a pnp until 4 mo when we had to split them up because they were laying on top of each other. The grandmoms were watching them while we were out one day around the 4mo and they found them with one laying on top of the other. So they put them back to side by side and the one on top cried and then moved back on top of his brother.

Now, L will walk over and grab their sippys of milk and either hand P his sippy or stick it in his mouth for him. Also, if one falls and is being comforted the other will pat them on the back. So cute!

  • My guys are already wrestling each other and it is sooo cute. One lays across the other one's tummy and they both giggle like crazy. I'm sure one day I will regret letting them do this or be pulling them off each other but it's so adorable right now!

  • My girls are still in utero but I swear at our 16 weeks I could see them playing patty cake. I know they can't even touch each other (mono/di) with the two sacs but I swear they were reaching out toward one another. The technician laughed hysterically and agreed at the illusion of patty cake. We were looking down at the top of their heads. I wish we could see them simultaneously to get a picture. Maybe in a couple weeks.

Now my mom and sister are making "patty cake" the theme of the baby shower. :)~

  • They "noticed" each other long before this video.  But on this day, Mason kept kissing Aubrey.  So I caught it on video using my computer that happened to be sitting right next to me.  It's a longer video, but he grabs and kisses her right at the beginning.  He did it about 4 times before that too.
