Nosebleeds

Ds1 will get the occasional small nosebleed from dry air or a cold.

Last night I went in his room to turn off his light and there was blood everywhere. His entire sheet was soaked and his body from the waist up was covered in blood. There were 3-4 large clots on one spot of his sheet.

We got him up and cleaned everything up and the bleeding had stopped. He's fine this morning.

If your kid gets NBs do they bleed that much? Would you consider a visit to the doctor or just watch him now that he is fine?

Re: Nosebleeds

  • Thankfully, we didn't have to deal with that crap with the kids yet, but I get nosebleeds like that and always have.

My mother had me checked at some point because it was so scary- and the doctors could not find anything wrong with me.

I usually get a few large clots as well and have bled through towels and such - the best advice I have is put some ice in his neck. That seems to help me a lot.

Also, I usually get heavy nosebleeds when I am about to get sick. Usually, I'll have a fever within 12 hours.

I am sorry I don't have anything helpful to say. Just, you guys are not alone and he's most likely ok.

  • Thanks @Nita2603! I'm sorry you have to deal with that.
