Anyone else's babies start waking up more around 6 months? At around 4.5 months we did CIO because of waking up every 45 minutes. It was tough but worked great after just a couple nights. Sometimes he'd sleep 8+ hours sometimes would wake up once to feed.
For the past 2 weeks almost he's been waking up about three times during the night, sometimes every two hours. He's not really eating much when I nurse him. Just starts to fall asleep a minute or so after.
Should I implement cio again? Do you have to keep going back to it all the time? I really don't want to keep having to do it often
**he has a tooth that's already come in but he's not acting bothered at all since it came in. And I know the 6 month growth spurt could be the case but he's not eating when I nurse him.
Re: Wake ups 6 months
Not sure where this is coming from, as he's always been a great night sleeper, but I am glad I'm not alone!
Right now DD is 6.5 months and wakes up 2-4 times and I feed her twice usually. Sometimes it does take her an hour or more to go back to sleep. She cut down on MOTN feeds on her own when she was 5 months, but then she started it back up again. I figure when she's ready she'll STTN again. She has done it 13 times (they are so precious and hard to come by so I do a happy dance when they do happen and count them) so hopefully she'll be able to do it again soon.
I'm just prepared for the first year to be full of sleep changes. I've learned that as soon as I think we have a pattern she'll change it up on me and I think this will be the case for the first year or so..
Hang in there. You're not alone.
This week instead of feeding him, I have just been rubbing his back when he wakes up at midnight and 3 am (His crib is still in our bedroom, so I attempted to let him cry for a while before consoling, but he would just WAIL) and he falls back to sleep after a minute. Then at 6 am, he eats well. I'm still having to get up to console him, but not having to pull him or myself out of complete sleep mode.
