Who misses work with sick kid?

My dd is with her dad this weekend and our parenting agreement says this "eow beginning on Fridays starting at 6:00 p.m. or when picked up from school, through Monday at 8:00 a.m., Father will drop minor child off at school every other Monday", now what if she is sick? Who stays home with her?

If she's going to school M-F that would be you. It is your parenting time. BD only has Friday evening through Monday morning which is not during school hours.

That's what I thought. My husband is off Mondays so he can hang out wit her.

You would. His parenting time is over at the start of the school day.

I always do, since we are long distance and school hours are always on my parenting time.

Question — if you had a good relationship with your ex, and he *wanted* to stay home with the sick kid, would you let him? Or would you insist that it's your time? I feel two ways about this, and I'm curious what you all think. 

1) I do have a good relationship with my ex, and I want him to be "that parent" for our LO, too. The one who deals with puke and enforces rules and helps with homework. So in that sense I wouldn't have a problem with it, but

2) if that *night* was my night, I would want LO to be at my house, because if he's sick I don't want him to get settled at one house for the day, only to have to get in the car and be moved later. But I suppose either way he has to travel from one house to the other in this scenario.

He ended up bringing her home last night. He said "she wants to sleep in her bed".

We would normally take turns missing work, or since he had her this weekend he would of normally stayed home with her (or she might of stayed with his gf). But given the change in circumstances I didn't even bring it up. He NEVER asks for extra time.

I was leaning this way too.  I mean, if BD wanted to skip work and stay home with the sick kid I would say, "let him" and that way you can keep your sick time and/or personal leave time for later use.  But given the situation with BD and the hostility lately, I'm sure DD really just wanted to come home so that she wouldn't have to be around his douchey-self.
