Baby registry

Ok, I am not sure whether or not this has been brought up yet.  I tried to search, but cannot find anything.  I already have my registries mostly complete, just waiting to find out the sex so I can choose a few specific items.  I do not live near family and have no friends where I live so I know I wont be having a shower.  My question is, how do I send out registry information without sending shower invites?  I was thinking of sending it with the sex reveal packages.  Is this a good idea?  Would it be overly rude and seem very needy or should I just give up completely on the registry?  Thank you for any ideas or opinions!

I wouldn't ever send out registry information unsolicited. That seems incredibly rude. I would share with your parents maybe, so they can tell anyone who inquires, and of course you can tell anyone who asks. Other than that, I wouldn't say anything.

I think they should ask for the info. Is there a possibility of you visiting anytime? If you have a chance to visit over the holidays then maybe you could plan a shower around that time?

This is how I have been feeling lately.  I don't know why I thought it would have been a good idea in the first place.  Thanks for confirming!

I wouldn't randomly send it out to people but if you aren't having a shower I wouldn't really count on anyone thinking you have a registry. For people I know that have babies and no shower I never have looked for a registry. I just purchase something I think is cute like an outfit and diapers because everyone needs them.
If you really want people to know... Maybe post a status about finishing up your registries at location a, and b.

Have family or best friends spread the word. I like pp's idea about posting a status. You could also set up a baby website where you post other things - how you found out, belly pics etc, and have a page for registry. I think the bump offers these? I know that they have free wedding ones.

If you're not having a shower and people want to buy you something they'll either ask you (or family) where you are registered, or they will just search for your registries so make sure you have them searchable.  Sending out any info kind of sounds like, buy me gifts please.  My second cousins and their families live across the country so they would not have been able to come to my shower, but they contacted to my brother to ask where I was registered.
