My doctor told me that emu oil (needs to be first press) is the only oil that penetrates/absorbs through all 7 layers of skin. I've not tried it yet and don't know if it works, but I plan to order it soon.
I started now with bio oil and cocoa butter. I don't think it's for sure that it will work, but it really can't hurt IMO. If anything it's been helping with my super itchy skin.
You can start it now if you want… I only used lotions when my belly felt itchy and I had some stretch marks but not a ton… It's really -sorry to say-based on your genetics more than anything that you put on your skin
Stretch marks are hereditary if your mother got them it's most likely you will get some form of them regardless of prevention. I did not get stretch marks until immediately after giving birth, I used bio oil, medela 9 months, and palmers belly butter my whole pregnancy. I hope you find something that works for you! & if you do end up getting stretch marks nothing bad you just earned your tiger stripes! Best of luck mama!
Re: Stretch mark remedies
This time around I'm just using cocoa butter. But I still might end up buying bio oil.
I gained 60lbs with my first baby & only got a handful of stretch marks right below my belly button, using bio oil.
