Childcare for odd schedule-- New Lenox

Hello all!!
I'm in New Lenox and due with my first in May. I'm a planner so I've been thinking a lot about childcare options since we have an odd schedule. My husband works afternoons and midnights they alternate every few months. Plus, his days off rotate so some days we need childcare 5days some days as few as two....and most of the time only about 4-6 hours. Do daycares in this area allow you to drop off here and there? If so, is it more expensive doing that rather than a full time week? Would you recommend finding a babysitter instead? Just trying to get some options thanks!!
