Diarrhea in 7 month old - teething?

DS has had very dark runny horrible diapers for the past 3 days. He has two bottom teeth already, but we are expecting his top ones to be coming in soon. Could this be related? He has had no other symptoms and has been his usual self.  We have a call in to the nurse, thought I'd ask here, too. He is on solids, wondering if I should follow the BRAT diet (Rice Cereal, Apples & Bananas).

    We had the same experience, except, no teeth! DD have a full week of diarrhea and was seen by pedi, but we had to just let it run its course. I was thinking we'd see a tooth but nothing!
