Dark circle around belly button

I have a dark circle around my belly button... does anyone else have this? I'm going to ask my doctor about it next week, but I wish I knew why its like that!

Belly button in or out? Probably just hormones like the dark line you can get up your stomach.

Combination of pregnancy hormones and your abdominal muscles separating a bit.  I have a ring too, and my midwives aren't concerned about it.

I've had that for a while. My belly button is flat to out now, but it's been darker around it for a while.

I have that, too. I was born with an umbilical hernia, which has been giving me a little pain throughout pregnancy. Doc has checked mine out and isn't concerned at all. He said mine is probably due to my hernia, but that it's not uncommon for pregnant women to have these circles even without hernias. So... should be just fine.

Kind of creepy looking, though. I freaked a little when mine first appeared.

oh yay! i have that too! it's dark around my belly button, and it wasn't out, but really stretched out and level with the rest of my skin. i'm 1 week 4 days postpartum and i still have the linea nigra and the darkness around my navel. i heard it takes quite a bit of time for the hormones to subside and get my regular pigmentation back.

I have one too! It's not a problem, just hormones that change your skin color in certain places. Just yesterday the nurse said I have a "perfect looking belly". Embrace it!
