I transferred two. Both took but one was in my tube. Had to have my right tube removed at 6 weeks. Baby number one is a rock star and is currently 25weeks 5 days!
I strongly believe that you can't ask this question in the name of "doing research" supposedly to help inform yourself on how many you should transfer without asking if it was a Day 3 vs. Day 5 transfer and the quality of the embryos transferred. You are going to have different rates of success on transferring 2 Day 3 embryos with someone who is DOR with multiple failed cycles versus transferring 2 excellent quality Day 5 embryos.
Your situation is unique depending on your diagnosis, the number of failed cycles, your age, if you did any sort of PGD/PGS/CGH/CCS testing, and the quality of embryos you have available at transfer. It's great to get an idea of your comfort level with having multiples, but it's also a decision that cannot be made until you know the quality of your embryos. So PLEASE don't make decisions for your own situation based on informal poll with a small sample size you post on here asking only how many embryos someone has transferred and how many babies they are pregnant with. If you are at a good clinic, transferring more than one will not statistically increase your rate of success, only your chance of having multiples. You can compare the implantation rates and number of embryos transferred at your clinic with some of the top clinics on SART.org. If your clinic is one that is inflating its success rates by pushing you to transfer two or more high quality embryos, then I'd suggest finding a new clinic.

IVF with PGD March 2013.
3/22 ER: 25R, 20M, 15F. 9 genetically normal, and 3 survived to Day 5
3/27 ET: transferred 1 embryo, beta 9dp5dt=163, 12dp5dt=639
4/25 1st ultrasound at 7 weeks = identical twins with heartbeats?!!!
PPROM at 31w, delivery at 32 weeks of two beautiful girls
There is also not an option for transferred two, 3 different/separate times and I am not pregnant with any of those. In fact we had losses for 2 of those times. But those times were different and the quality wasn't there. 2 times it was a 5dt, 1 time it was a 3dt.
We are PG with 1 and we transferred 1. Like PurpleIris said, we did CCS testing and we had such incredible quality going into it that we felt it was right to only transfer 1. Our clinic had given us a multiples rate of 50%, which was too high for our tastes, especially knowing that an embryo could split.

This is a good point and good advice. Also you cannot compare two cycles, even two with the same person. We had 5 transfers total (three were 3dt and two were 5dt) with two embryos each time. Two of the five yielded no pregnancy at all including our other 5dt and with our m/c we were only pregnant with one. We were comfortable with twins so we transferred two, but our previous failures made me unsure even two was "enough." I'm glad my dr was adamant about transferring no more than two despite our history. Best of luck to you!
Thanks for your responses. I understand that everyone's situation is different and that each cycle is different. I am not basing my decision off of this - the poll was just out of curiosity. Sorry if I upset anyone, I had no intention of doing so.

Oh, I'm not upset and apologize if my post seemed that way. This question gets asked a lot on here as people are trying to figure out how many to transfer (which is totally fine - it's a big decision), but I was just trying to give you some lines of thought/inquiry that would yield more pertinent/helpful/relevant information for you to ponder, because the base question doesn't really help much or tell you much without knowing all of the other factors.
Even if kjf is upset at me for posting my original comment, I'm going to keep bringing it up because it's important. I just think you have to ask all of the other factors at the same time to get an accurate sense of statistics and nothing is more important than the particulars of your own situation.
