Hi, new here :)

Hi, I'm Jamie.  I am 7 weeks pregnant with twins from IVF and am still in shock a little bit... I think it's just now starting to sink in.  I also have a 2 yr old son from our first round of IVF.  I'm in another moms group that I love, but no one there has twins so I was excited to find this board :)

I have a question for you ladies... did you get a lot of cramping early in your pregnancy?  I hadn't had any for almost a week and then I've been cramping for 3 days straight.  Not painful, but constant.  No bleeding and I still feel nauseas and tired.  It seems pretty common from what I read, but I forgot how nerve wracking it is to have a high risk pregnancy and worry about every little thing.  This is our last shot at having kids... we didn't have embryos to save, so if this doesn't work out we won't be able to have any more kids.

Re: Hi, new here :)

  • congrats!!! I had a lot of cramping in the begining, try not to stress too much about it as long as there is no bleeding!! wishing you an uneventful pregnancy!

  • Congratulations and welcome! Its a wild ride!
Hmm, I had some cramping but earlier than 7 weeks, more like 4/5ish. Its never dumb to call your doctor if you are concerned, especially with twins - I am always surprised at stuff I think is silly and little, that my doctor is like "OMG you should have called sooner" so please do not feel bad bugging your dr.  It probably is nothing, but better to get that diagnosis so you can sleep well at night.
    Much luck to you!!!

  • Congrats and welcome! I agree with pp. I didn't have any cramping really. I did start having round ligament pain early on.
