Mist for my kids, shot for me. My kids freak out about shots, but I don't care and our pedi doesn't usually have enough mist for the adults to get it, too. I think my husband get a shot.

DD1 and I are both pretty freaked with the mist. I do not want to sniff a liquid. DD1 had it once and cried for an hour that her nose hurt. The other two had the mist last year, we had shots.
There is no way in hell that DS1 will let someone spray something up his nose. He will stand in a steamy vapor room for hours to avoid nasal spray with a cold.
Another thought, the flu shot is inactive while the flu mist is an attenuated live virus (weakened so it won't actually cause a flu). With a shot you'll probably have a sore arm, but with the mist, there are more side effects.
Last year I wanted DD to get the shot despite the fact that she was old enough for the mist. The doctor actually talked me into the mist because as it says in the link you posted, it might be more effective for young children. Not saying either one is right or wrong, but that's why I decided to do the mist for DD.

Shots for all!

Shot for all. DH, DS1, and I have asthma (so no mist) and DS2 is too young for the mist.
