So am I being completely irrational and sensitive to the fact that I don't think it's very nice for my husband to bring goodies home while I can't eat them. This GD diet is so hard. I crave sugar and want it so bad. He knows this. I don't expect him to change all of his eating habits but he doesn't seem to care. He thinks why she he eat any different and it just hurts. Why not support me and wanna make this easier for me by at least not bringing goodies home. 2 times this week he did that.
Re: GD frustrations
My dear, sweet sweet, DH just had his wisdom teeth out last week. He has been living off of milkshakes, ice cream, pudding, full flavored yogurt, mashed potatoes, mac n cheese, and some of the most delicious chicken n noodles his grandma makes (the good kind that is thick with homemade noodles...ugh YUM).
And do you know what he said to me? "I can't wait to be able to eat real food again."
:-O WHAAAAAT??
It sucks that he isn't being supportive. I found a few really great recipes that feel like amazing snacks but are still pretty GD friendly if you want me to share.

I tried something today someone on here suggested, the nature valley protein granola bars, they are delicious!! Even have a tiny bit of chocolate!! So far so good to have in the afternoon for me!!
Place 1/2 cup Greek yogurt in a bowl. Add 1package Truvia and 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa. Mix thoroughly.
I've also added vanilla extract and almond extract and it is yummy! (I don't have measurements since I just poured and tasted until I liked it lol)
Browse this list, its from cycle 1 of the 17 day diet (essentially low to no carb recipes). I found a lot of it worked for a diabetic/GD diet, as long as you add the x amount of carbs you need. Its a good base set of recipes that can be bulked up.

I've also heard a lot about sugar free jell-o powder in yogurt for a really yummy treat. Yogurt (greek or otherwise) is really a great protein and easy to dress up.
I also fell in love with ricotta cheese + mashed strawberries (I used frozen and blended them, but also just defrosted and mashed with a fork). I would give this to DD when she started solids and will admit I might have eaten more of this than her. Regularly.
Also, not in the snack category, but I have found Mung Bean pasta to be awesome! Look past the name, and expect more of a noodle texture, but I seriously can eat this in almost unlimited amounts and have great numbers. It helps when you're craving a big giant bowl of spaghetti and meatballs and can only have a teensy tiny amount of spaghetti.
ETA: clarity
How do you feel about tofu? I have a recipe for a breakfast tofu scramble that is really nice.
