That's the new word of the week... last night I asked him how he liked his toasted cheese sandwich and he started saying cheese.. took him a couple of tries to get the "ch" sound but then he got the hang of it lol..too cute
@LilNunz1 she recognises letters?! way to go, baby girl!
DS is no where near letter/number recognition...he has an animal alphabet book and can name most of the things in the picture, but that's just because we've read the book 59,034 times.
He just started saying 'No,no,no' this week. Which is kind of cute. He doesn't overuse it, so it's not annoying...yet.
Our lil guy isn't either but my new project will be a big help for that..I hope. a
He has a couple of flap books that he knows where the animals are and can say kitty, puppy and doggy and knows the names if you ask where they rabbit or sheep or cow is... he can say Perry and Willy and Tazzy... but poor old Roxxy still gets called Kitty ( our 4 cats ). He can say Bad Tazzy... ) so it's not too hard to figure out who the mischief maker is in our house lol
He just started saying oh.. with this big old 0 mouth which is hilarious. the first time he did it was when I touched a bang on his face and I thought he was saying it hurt.. but I think that was just a conincidence. He seems to be working up to some new vocab as we have had lots of practising sounds and mouth fuunctions this last week.. between teething and such.
It's crazy watching the changes in him lately... he finally started saying mommy again after a hiatous of months where daddy was the bees knees and he didnt say mommy AT ALL not even when he was upset. It used to be the other way round
Oh tay (OK) was a cute one this last week ( ah huh) Yes..which I swear is DH's doing haha
..but best of all was the self napping which is so frickin awesome since Iam 5 foot 1 an a half and walking around rocking this lil guy to sleep is tough work as he gets bigger n bigger. DH is 6 foot and he already reaches his crotch.
Oh and he reached his arms up and asked Grandpa for a hug.. first time ever he has done that with anyone but us... made Grandpa's day
Our kids are just too frickin cute. You think we'll all be on here still when they start graduating from high school and we're talking about college and jobs? haha
I think she is recognizing some letters. We have a Melissa and Doug alphabet puzzle and magnetic letters on the fridge. She can completely do the puzzle, but I don't know if that's just because she has done it so many times or if she actually knows. The only one she knows for sure is N. DH picks the N up from both and says "N is for Last Name!" all the time. It's probably just a neat parlor trick for now. I think I might try to see if she'll give me some letters from the puzzle to test. Now I am curious!
Our new word this week was "medicine." Yup, it shocked the hell out of me, too. He cracked his head on the corner of the wall so we were trying to put ice on it. I crushed some ice and out in in a Cars ziplock baggie and kept saying "We have to put your medicine on your bump," and then I'd holdit on the bump for a bit and take it off when he got squirmy. I set it to the side and was just snuggling with him and he started trying to reach across me to get the ice bag saying "med-cin, med-cin." Then he put the ice on his head, laughed and kept repeating it. It was pretty adorable.
Our kids sure are super cute! Last night DS said "fork" for the first time when he wanted my fork. Or at least it's the first time we realized he was saying it.

Did it sound like "fork" or another four letter word? Lol
My friend sent me a video of her daughter saying what a duck says, but not being able to say "qu". "Molly, what does a duck say?" "F$&@....oh, f$&@!" Hilarious.

You know, we didn't notice if it sounded like another 4-letter word, so it must have sounded like "fork"! Either that or we're oblivious. Last night his version of "chicken" did sound a lot like "naked," though, which was pretty funny.
Re: Cheese
Our new word is our last name. It is really sweet. Every time DD sees an N, she says it!
