Nicknames.

So, when my friend was pregnant a couple yrs ago, I nicknamed the baby "Jelly Bean" and we (even to this day l) will call him Bean. My husband and I have been referring to our new little creation as "Poppy" (it just stuck once I told him it was the size of a poppy seed). The name is great because we can say things to each other without letting on about the Big News just yet.
Anyone else have a silly little nickname for their growing LO?

Funny enough, I've been basing it on the size.  At first it was lil poppyseed, last week it was tadpole, now it's currently sweet pea, lol

Hahaha I think "little oopsies" would have certainly been a contender in my parents' nickname for me. Love it!

We will probably call it "babby" because of this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ll-lia-FEIY Gotta love Yahoo answers! Ever since we saw that a few years ago, my husband calls me babby and we call the dog a babby so I'm pretty sure we're going to call the baby a babby.

We call ours Poppy too! When we were pregnant with DS, we called him Roni (Rice a Roni as he was the size of rice when we found out). It took my H probably a week to call DS by his real name as he kept calling him Roni!

We called DS 'Spaghettio' until we found out he was a boy and then started calling him by his name.  This one we are calling 'Pistachio'....DH has picked the nicknames both times and I go with it since it helps DH feel a part of the process.

We called DS Bean Sprout. H's nickname has been Bean for 100 years so it was cute. We've been calling this one the Sweet Pea.

We called DD "nugget" when I was pregnant last time and it stuck for quite awhile after she was born. Nothing so far, just boring "baby".

DD was bean, DS was nugget and this one is Grubblet. (It's a "Blades of Glory" reference) Not sure how it started...

I'm using peanut right now, which I know isn't unique but on my ultrasound today the baby really looked like a little peanut! So cute!

Pluto. I've always told DH that I expect I will look like a planet when I'm pregnant. So since Pluto is the smallest planet (and I still consider it a planet!), we started calling it that.

We called DD the muffin (as in "in the oven") and often the mini muffin. I told my friend her name and she calle her Norahsaurus from then on, which made me the pregosaurus. Fabulous to tell a pregnant woman she's the size of a dinosaur. Another friend referred to her as Fetus ------ (insert last name).

This one we're just called the NB. New Baby. I'm sure DH will come up with

We started calling ours 'Little Boink' or just 'Boink'. Sometimes its "Boinkers" or 'Boinkadoodle" "Boinkaroni" etc. 

Little Boink or Boinker started when we were TTC and were in the TTW...DH would talk to my belly and say, "Okay little Boinker, get settled in there"

He'd talk to my uterus every day until we got our BFP urging Mr. Boink (his way of also trying to get it to be a boy haha) to get his butt in gear and start growing so we could meet him someday.

My husband refers to our baby as "Little Thor" - because since I met him he's been threatening to name our first son Thor. (a DEFINITE NO!)
