Thanks for your input! I just found the Mayo Clinic's guide to formula preparation online, and they say any clean water (tap or bottled) should be fine, so that's a relief.
And also- I highly recommend generic formula. SOOOOO much cheaper and most kids tolerate it just fine.
Yeah, we're hoping to use the Kirkland brand from Costco, it's so much cheaper than anything else!
We used Enfamil powder while we had samples then switched to Kirkland powder and never looked back. We do keep a few of the 2 oz. Enfamil bottles around for on the go but we pour them in a bottle because the threads aren't great on the tops and my kids managed to yank the tops off and dump it all over themselves.

We used nursery water. We are on well water and it is highly recommended not to use well water because there is no way to know levels of things in the water. Unless you test it of course.
