Sorry I've missed the last couple check ins. Had a bad day in hospital a couple days ago and was pretty wiped out yesterday.
Congrats to those who had milestones. I am so happy that everyone is continuing to thrive (or at least cope-lol).
Still dilated to 1cm and now am 75% effaced. Babies kicking like crazy. I keep telling them they have to stay in for a while longer.
QOTD: I'm watching Sons of Anarchy right now. DH might put Breaking Bad on my lap top once I finish SOA. I'm reading a book about the Kennedy's, but it is 800 pages and I lost interest about 300 pages into it. Every time I start to read it now, I start to fall asleep.
Lastly, welcome to the new ladies. I am very sorry I didn't properly welcome you earlier.

Morning everyone! Slept okay last night. My new nurse came in this morning and refused to give me my BP meds because she thought my pressure was too low (even though every other nurse has worked with me to get it a bit higher so I can take it.) Called the on call Dr. and she made me wait a half hour. I was soooooo pissed. She was also patronizing and kept asking me if I understood what she was saying-UGH! Sorry to vent, I'm finished ;-)
I am addicted to Scandal right now. It's very entertaining and well done. That also starts next Thursday!
Good Morning All! Congrats to sftbalbabe on the great milestone and I echo rk on the welcome to all the new ladies. Sorry I have been absent - my days get filled with tests and monitoring and then I just pass out. I've been reading and praying - but just can't get my act together on the typing...
Hang in there RK - it sounds like you're still having a really rough go of it - you've been at it so long keep those kids cooking!
This will be my last check-in here - I'm 32 weeks today and I get to meet my crazy LOs tomorrow morning! Everything has just been slowly drifting by and now we're here - we'll see how it all goes tomorrow. I'm so excited to meet them, see how they are, how much they weigh, etc...I wish I could keep them in longer - but there just isn't a lot of space and we roll the dice every day we keep the girls with their tangled cords inside. They are about 12 lbs of baby all kicking the heck out of me right now - so they're ok for the moment!
Anyways - will post a quick update as soon as I can after they are born - thank you ladies for all the wonderful support - and especially to kneenah and rk who have really been the backbone of this check-in for the last several weeks. You ladies are amazing and can make it through all the crap they throw at you!
QOTD: Just finished season 4 of breaking bad! It has been amazing... I'm also watching Luther (BBC show starring Idris Elba on Netflix) which is also really great.
Hi everyone! I am getting on the computer late today! I slept crappy last night, only slept 12-4:30. They are pumping my full of colace and prune juice to get me to go, well that woke me up this morning. I only fell back asleep when the fetal monitors were on and of course they wake me up because I had some minor contracting, so that was depressing but since then it looks like everything has subsided. I am only on day 4 of HBR but this day seems to be crawling by compared to the others, ugh. Nothing new or exciting to report.
QOTD: I am reading James Pattersons Honeymoon and watch mostly TLC and BRAVO but no shows specifically except Top Chef.
Hey everyone! Slept a little better last night. Started having contractions again yesterday so stayed another day in L&D for monitoring. I get to leave today although the continuing contractions scare me. Hopefully the procardia helps when my bp is high enough to take. I am glad tho to finally go home to my son and a comfortable bed!
QOTD: I haven't been reading as much as I normally do. Been to tired To focus. But trying out some new shows with my hubby.
good afternoon everyone! i slept ok last night. I got more than 2 hours of sleep at a time so im happy good luck to everyone with their appointments and deliveries. Ive been keeping myself busy with my online schooling its finals week so ive had a lot to do. Hope everyone has a good day!
Update: 32w 2d. Slept ok. Apparently my Ambien obsession last night was diapers. I texted my husband and sister to get some for the babies. Babies are growing and I cannot get comfortable. I now have 7 pillows in my bed and am pushing them around to try to get a good position. Babies are very active too.
Talked to my OB about an hour ago and she said I can go home next week! She wants me to monitor my contractions and if they start getting painful, then I need to come in. It makes me nervous but I think the mental benefit of being home outweighs the nervousness. I need to get some mental strength back before we start the next chapter.
Today marks 5 weeks until my scheduled C section. It is odd to see a definite end point.
QOTD: For some reason, I don't want to watch or read anything. I just turn on HGTV and leave it on all day. Maybe I don't want to have to mentally follow anything. I read a couple mysteries earlier this week but am having issues concentrating.

I have some random questions for you ladies who are veterans at HBR. If you have a toddler at home does your DH visit often? I found myself telling DH today to only visit on the weekends because it is too much for him to care for out 2yo DS and come here al after work, since I am 30 mins from our house. Who watches your toddler? Do you have multiple family members helping or do they rotate? Is it rude to ask my MIL to help DH by cooking some meals? She is 78 and not up to watching DS, but I feel like she could help him with a meal or two. I feel like I just sit here all day and plan what everyone is going to do each day of the week as far as watching DS...and coordinate who is visiting/bringing meals since I get like 3 dinner offers a night! I am so bored and so overwhelmed all at the same time!
@kneenah1231 I'm also super jealous of your sleep!
@bitsytripmom I know you can't wait to meet them! I look forward to hearing about those babies!
Had my BPP today. Baby looks to be doing great, though he's breach. The Dr. had moved me to modified bed rest on Monday, my blood pressure was up again today so he told me back to bed rest. He also scheduled my C-section for Oct 11. I still go in 2x/week and he said he would deliver me any time there was protein in my urine at one of my appts.
Stopped by my office on the way back from my appt for my work shower (OK'd by my Dr. after my good Monday appt). It was really sweet: 2 dozen roses, petit fours and punch and got lots of diapers and wipes and a really nice gift card to BRU from the company. I miss my work girls so much!
Had a 90 minute prenatal massage after that by a doula/massage therapist (was a gift from my other shower). Best prenatal massage I've had...she knows pregnant women!
Overall a super eventful day.
QOTD: Orange is the New Black...I think I'm 6 or so episodes in now.

@smscartozzi Hi there, I have been on HBR for a little over two weeks now and we are just getting into the swing of things. My husband works from home, so it is a little bit easier for him than for your DH. I have an almost 5 year old and 2 year old at home. My MIL comes us to stay with them M-Th and then when she needs extra help or when my husband has to leave the house, we call on other family members or friends who have offered help. I suggested to have my husband draw up an excel sheet with his schedule and block off times he needs help and then email it out to people to fill in. It has been very effective because so many people want to help but don't know what to do. Anyone who's offered to bring meals, we've graciously accepted. I definitely don't think it is rude to ask your MIL to help with some meals. Maybe she can make larger items (ie lasagna) so your DH has leftovers for the next night.
Regarding you DS, my 2 year old can take about 1-2 hours with toys at the hospital. After that he gets a little nutty. But I see both boys every other day during the week and both days on the weekend. That's just my preference though. I would do whatever you and your DH can handle, and what you need. Best of luck to you! :-)
@morgan, thanks for the words of wisdom! I think my DH is just overwhelmed right now and I am not sure how to help him. Thus far the only person who has offered to help him in the food department is my mother, who is also caring for DS, so I feel bad....I wish I could help. I need to order him some online groceries with lasagna and other casserole type stuff. I think I will wait and see what happens monday. If they hold me in the hospital I am going to have to recruit him some food help. I guess we are going to have to learn as we go!!
