Labeling for daycare

I don't know why I feel overwhelmed by this task.  I guess it's because I'm not really sure what I am going to need to send to daycare so I'm not really sure what I'm going to have to label.  Anyway, besides buying fancy labels, how did you label LOs belongings?  Can I just use a permanent marker on his clothes (on the label) or is that totally ghetto?  What about sippy cups, plates, etc.?  Anything else I'm missing?

I totally do the sharpie. But I also have a label maker and will use those labels for his cups.

@bellaxanthe & @Trixi282 I have personalized silicone bands that I was given as a gift a while ago for his bottles. I wonder if they would fit his cups. Thanks for the reminder!

I'm not thrilled about sharpie on his clothes, one because some of his shirts are tagless and two if our next (and last) isn't a boy, I would like to give his clothes to someone who could use them.

@kimmer1412 I love the idea of this tan colored paper tape. I'm going to check Michael's and see if they have it.

@chipmunk112511 sharpie on clear tape? Does this stay on items when washing/dishwasher?

We bought stickers off etsy. They lasted 6 months on the bottles. We use inch bug on sippys and the stickers on her Tupperware

@kimmer1412 I, too, am laughing that you were talking about masking tape. I thought you had discovered some sort of fabric tape and even went to Michael's today to look for it. Needless to say I came home empty handed. I never thought of masking tape.

@thepinksuperhero those labels are adorable. Do they stick to fabric too?

njlurker1 don't think so!  We just use them on our bottles, sippy cups, lunch tupperware, etc.
