Beautiful Project About Post-Baby Bodies

https://4thtrimesterbodies.com

This is a really nice idea. It's worth looking at if you're already getting nervous about your post-baby body.

I think all these women are really brave.

  • Your stomach will look like you are still about 6 months pregnant afterwards, but it does get better. I am over my ideal weight still (despite losing 50 lbs) but my body at my current weight pretty much looks like my body looked at the same weight before. LO is 1. I did not get any stretch marks.

  • It's very similar, and they came out about a month apart-- but had both been in the works for months
  • This is so true.  I'm lighter than when I got pregnant the first time, but my body has changed.  I expect it to even more after #2.  I have come to terms that even if my body is never perfect, as long as I eat well and stay active that I'm healthy. Having a daughter, it's also important to me to teach her healthy habits- I never want her to hate her body like so many women do.

  • I love projects like these.  Women should embrace the amazing capabilities of their bodies instead of wishing it looked different.  I know it's easier said than done.  I struggle with this myself.  But I hope that sharing images like these will give us a healthy idea of what a real post-partum body looks like and will help us to love ourselves.

@Chellbell20, you should embrace that your body already is perfect!  Because it is!  We make babies with our bodies...such an amazing feat.
