QOTD: I was totally going to ask about Halloween costumes - until @jessica_gail2 stole my idea!    So instead I'll ask about Halloween plans.  Is LO old enough to trick or treat?  Will you go out?  Any parties?  Stay in and pass out candy?  Or turn off the porch light and pretend not to be home?

So this weekend E had grits for the first time.  And she about died and went to heaven.  It was a very close second to the utter bliss of her first mac and cheese.  I find this pic hilarious!  It so captures E's spirit.  I like to think this is E saying "You better finish every bite of your grits or you don't get to play before nap time!"

QOTD: Last year E was definitely too small, so we stayed home and passed out candy.  I think this year, she's old enough that we can at least go to the few closest neighboring houses of people we know and let her get a feel for trick or treating.  She's never had candy before though, so I'm not sure if we'll let her eat it or not.

I'm such a Halloween party-pooper. I'll turn off our porch light (and the lights inside) and pretend to not be home. Our dogs hate when people knock on our door and bark and carry on and I'm not really interested in that with an infant. Last year we were just past ET, waiting for our beta, so I hid last year too. My birthday is also November 1, so I've never really liked Halloween!

This year we wont trick or treat but he will dress us and help me give out candy. No clue what he will be yet.

We are so far off our road that we'll never get any trick or treaters, which is sad because I used to love it at our old house! So we'll probably dress DS and bring him to a few friends/families' houses. That's about it. He's too young for candy anyway!

@TJ1979 I gave him my phone at a restaurant and turned the camera on him so he could look at himself (and keep him quiet for a few minutes!) and he took a picture by accident.  Not a bad shot

ccam - Does he go  to daycare? Our makes ours dress up for  halloween party even last year when he was 6 months old. Basically got lollypops and candy for us!

QOTW we LOVE Halloween!! We have a party every year. Ours will be Nov 1 this year. We are taking Hannah out to friends and families this year in her costume. Gonna have my mom hand out candy at our house until we get back.

@mcgeeva He does, but Halloween lands on a Thursday and he's at my SIL's that day.  I didn't think about that though!  They must do something there.  I'd take the candy though

O will be just 1 day shy of 5 months so he won't remember this Halloween....... 

That being said we are going to AC for a concert that night to see ph.ish and leaving him with grandma for his first over night! So excited and nervous at the same time!!

I'm not really into Halloween. LO does not go to daycare and so far we have not been invited to any parties and I am not hosting one. I may take her around our small cul de sac with her as yet unpurchases costume and take a few photos. She has never eaten candy so I don't think she will miss it.

@Ducky719 I'm a terrible mom, E has never been on a swing.  I bet she would love that though, she loves when we swing her around, and she loves to twirl in circles till she's dizzy.  S looks like she is having a blast!  Love the tongue.

G at the water park this past weekend.

I LOVE Halloween! It's my favorite holiday. I love carving pumpkins, haunted houses, costumes, the adorable trick-or-treaters... all of it I was still deciding on G's costume when my Mom gave me an owl one. We put it on him and I about died from the cuteness. The arms are wings so when he walks around, it's just so adorable. We are planning to take him trick-or-treating to a few houses, just for fun. He can walk and hold a candy bucket, but he doesn't eat candy, so it's really just for the experience. Then we will hand out candy. This is our first year in our new house so I am curious if there will be lots of kids or not.

QOTW: I'm a party pooper. HATE Halloween! DH & I used to turn off all our lights (including inside the house) and "hid" inside. Luckily, people tend not to ring the doorbell when they don't see any lights. I almost DIED last year when I found out M's due date was on Halloween. I thought it was my pay back! Luckily, he ended up 8 days late.
I suppose my attitude towards Halloween will have to change in a few years' time, when M is old enough to go trick or treating. But this year, NOPE, not gonna do anything.

QOTD: I w  Is LO old enough to trick or treat? No but we will go out with a few family members.  Will you go out? Yes Sir - e-  Any parties?  Love Halloween parties but they are not kid friendly lol. This year we will be going and A will be with the siter. Stay in and pass out candy? We will be out all night so no candy giving out for us which will probably help my diet. DS at Happy Hollow Zoo & Park!

We are definitely taking DS out trick or treating. He went last year but didnt quite get it. This year he'll be beyond ecstatic about the candy. I'm not sure of costumes yet. We are disney freaks so it'll most likely be disney themed. We are also attending the Halloween Party at Disneyland in early Oct. so I'd better get on the ball about our costumes!

A won't be old enough to trick or treat. I'm definitely dressing her up though! We may go walk around with my nephews while they get their candy . We live in a rural area, so I do buy candy, but I never have anyone to give it to-shucks

A and I cuddled on the couch the other morning because it got COLD here in NY.

This was from Labor Day weekend, we go to a cook off every year with BIL/SIL, Aunts/Uncles and it's a lot of fun. He turned 6 months on the 1st so we also took his 6 month pictures and hopefully I'll have those soon.

GTKY: No Halloween plans for us. I'm not huge into Halloween (Christmas is my thing!). I would actually rather turn the lights off and pretend no one's home but our neighborhood is full of kids so they walk around in masses. We usually last about 30-45 minutes before we're out of candy.
