It was 41 degrees this morning, and my kid wore shorts to the bus stop.

It's the dreaded fall transition (for me anyway).  Finding the perfect leggings for DD1 is an annual headache.  Oh well, at least I convinced her to wear a jacket and socks.  I know a lot of you have LOs with sensory issues, too, so you get it :)

    ha! We have been getting a lot of rain lately. The first day it rained all day last week, I sent DS in shorts and I dug around our closet for a sweater to justify the weather. It was around 60F.

    I got to the daycare and all the kids were wearing shorts.

    The next day it rained, I busted out the sweats and pants.

    It happens to the best of us.

    DS pulls up his pants above the knee to make them feel like shorts EVERY YEAR for the entire first month that we go back to pants. Luckily, at his school, even though they have uniform pants, the kids all refuse to wear them and stick with their uniform shorts year round. We live in Louisiana so its usually not a huge deal, but the last year I taught it SNOWED...and those kids still came to school in those darn shorts!! LOL 
    I am really hoping that he can just wear shorts year round, and skip the whole pants debacle.

    Funny- my kid doesn't get chilly in the winter time, but he does prefer to be hot all the time- he'll beg to wear long sleeves and pants and complain when I turn the AC on. I think he's the opposite side of the sensory spectrum, always looking for the extreme. His goal in life that he will not.stop.talking.about is going to Hawaii because someone said casually that it may be the hottest place in the world.

    It's good to know I'm not alone :)  DD actually had a dress on with shorts underneath, and she definitely wasn't the only one at the bus stop this morning in shorts.

    Last year, the only warm shoes I could get her to wear were rain boots with socks.  Rain or shine, she wore rain boots and socks the entire fall and winter.  She actually wore holes in the bottoms of one pair because she wore them so much.
