31wks woot woot.. 5 more wks and I get my ankle bracelet removed and off house arrest..
Yesterday was a very odd day. Woke up at 10 am after I posted the BR ck in I went to the bathroom and notice a little blood on my napkin. I called Mfm only because I have a cerclage and any bleeding needs to be reported. She sent me to L&D. After monitoring and test. There was no sign of contraction, dilation or cervical shorten. Not even a sign of blood O_o good news but was confused lol.. Oh well better safe then sorry. When I got home I went to be at 5pm and woke up at 3am :-) the hrs fall asleep suck but I take what I can get.
Qotd: since we currently live in a one bedroom she will be rooming with us. As soon as I get back to work. We will be looking to move either to a bigger 1 bedroom or 2 bedroom depends because NYC is way to expensive.. I rather a nice 1 bedroom instead of a rat infested run down 2 bedroom.
I slept well, but I dont have any trouble sleeping. If anything, bed rest is yeilding too much sleep! Im pretty sure I havent slept this much since before my first daughter was born.
No milestones, but an appointment today. Hoping for good news, so they dont send me back to hospital for bed rest there.
She will share a room with DD#3 after spending a few months in our room in the cosleeper. We also have a pack n play set up in the play room, in case she isnt ready for night sleeps with Birdy at that point.
My "Irish twins"
pPROM at 27 weeks, Birdy born at 28 weeks at 2lb 7oz.
Morning all! Last night was my first night in my maternity ward room instead of L&D. Slept better here because I am off all the monitors but still only slept 11-1 then 2-6:30:(. Hopefully I will get used to the hospital bed. And I don't do well with sleeping with an IV port in my wrist, I am paranoid about it.
I made it through yesterday and last night with no contractions! I don't have another cervical check until Monday which I think is weird. I figured they would monitor it more closely but I am also wondering if my transvaginal u/s is what caused the contractions yesterday in the first place!
QOTD: our babies will have a cosleeper in our room for the first 2 months then have a nursery room for themselves!!
Morning. Second night sleeping in L&D. Was able to have monitors off as well for some added comfort... Although not sure how comfortable you can get in the hospital lol. Contractions and bleeding has finally stopped and feeling more myself after the mag drip. All a waiting game right now but looking stable for now! Trying to get as much time as we can but was luckily transferred to a different hospital with a level 3 nicu just in case.
QOTD: Our little one has her own nursery but will cosleep the first couple months.
How did everyone sleep? I slept horribly. Nightmares of the NICU all night. Hoping to get a few naps in today - the weather is perfect for it - the high is only 66 - which after 90s and 80s seems like winter!!
Milestones? Updates? Appts? My appointment didn't go so well (hence NICU dreams). My blood pressure is really high. She has me monitoring at home for today (and the last bit of yesterday) and I'm to call tomorrow to update her. After that we will do a 24 hour urine analysis to see if there is protein in my urine they aren't catching at the office. If not, and it' just BP, then we will try some meds and/or hospital bed rest depending on the numbers. Which, I'm not a nurse, but my last reading (this morning) was 156/100, so it hasn't gone down. Either way the doctor does not think I'll make it to 37 weeks now...our "goal" is to get to 34 weeks (I'm 32 on Friday) and then after that re-evaluate.
QOTD: Our bedroom is too small to share with the girls so they are in the room next to us. It's kind of a second living room - but we don't need two living rooms so DH suggested we make it the nursery for right now to make it easier on me after the c-section as the other choice was upstairs. It's literally 10 steps from our bedroom - so close enough for comfort for me.

I slept well last night fortunately. Feeling pretty good this morning.
I seem to have developed a yeast infection, probably due to the antibiotics I'm on for group b strep. Has anyone else has a yeast infection along with the shortened cervix? Do you know if there is any additional risk involved? What were you able to take to treat it? I'll probably call my doc about it today or tomorrow if it doesn't get any better, but just curious in the meantime. I also had horrible heartburn yesterday, I guess a combo of the procardia and then laying down all day while my food is digesting. I'll see if that comes back again today or not as well.
Baby has a nursery set up in the room next to ours. It was a junk room/spare bedroom for the last 4 years, so it makes me happy every time I look in there now and see a beautiful nursery!
Update: 32w 1d. Had a growth u/s yesterday. Both babies look great. Little boy is 3 lbs 15 oz and little girl is 4 lbs 6 oz. My little man has peach fuzz on his head while his sister has strands of hair floating around her. I was supposed to stay in the hospital until 34 weeks, but my OB says she and the MFM team are discussing 33 weeks. Hubby and I were initially supporting 34 weeks, but we are really having a tough time being apart for 8 weeks already that we are ready for me to go home next week. Fingers crossed that the doctors (and babies) agree.
QOTD: The babies have a nursery upstairs. We haven't set it up yet since I went on bedrest so early. My hubby has been so adorable nesting on his own while I've been here. He set up a crib in our room and is getting things ready there. The plan is to keep them in our room until they sleep through the night consistently. I also have an office next to our bedroom that we can use if we aren't ready to move them upstairs yet.

Call your doc today and get them to call you in a script!! I had a yeast infection like 8 weeks ago just before I started to shorten. The meds I think were similar to or the same as Monistat but I trust an Rx before OTC. You want the infection gone as soon as possible...they do pose a risk for ptl if left untreated I believe! Sorry I can't speak for how they will administer it with a shortened cervix...I imagine that posses a issue since it is administered with an applicator vaginally. And remember to eat yogurt!
Morning ladies Congrats on all the milestones I'm 34 weeks today I can't believe there are only 3 more weeks until 'goal week' and re evaluation of our plan of care... There is still SO much that needs to be done! My mom offered to come over today and help unpack, clean, and run errands so I'm very thankful and looking forward to her visit.
Sawyer has her own nursery, but we plan to keep her in a bassinet in our room for the first 4-6 weeks! We will see how everything plays out and what she 'prefers'
Slept pretty good so no complaints. Getting anxious for my dr appointment tomorrow. I've been having some pressure I hope it's just the babies growing. Hope I haven't dilated anymore and baby A hasn't engaged any further she was already pretty far down last week.
The girls will be sharing a room and we plan putting them in there from day 1. We have a one story condo and their room is only about 10 feet from ours.
Good afternoon everyone. I slept a few hours at a time but was up for most of the night. Things are still pretty stable with me. Hopefully this bedrest is helping my ribs have been sore off and on but I'm thinking its from being kicked constantly. Noah will be sharing a room with us. I have a 3 bedroom house but my parents and sister and her newborn are living with us so its a little cramped but it will be interesting having 2 newborns only a few months apart living here.
My doc is calling in a rx for fluconozole. It's just a one time pill for the yeast infection, and they said it's safe (although I believe it's in one of those unknown pregnancy categories). I'm guessing anything else would cause more cervical irritation. But I'm definitely downing yogurt as well! I'm on these antibiotics for the rest of pregnancy- I feel like I might have to eat a gallon of yogurt a day to keep these things away!

Oh, good to know the pill is safe!! If you have not tried Dannon light and fit Greek yogurt, it is to die for...I eat the vanilla for dessert with a crumbled candy bar or cookie in it! The best!
I actually slept last night and only had to get up twice (that I remember)!!!! Wooo Hooo
BPP tomorrow morning. Looking forward to finding out LO's position because his movements feel really different lately.
QOTD: Baby has a nursery upstairs but will be residing in our room in a pack n play until mommy can deal with him being that far away or he's sleeping through the night.
