good news/bad news

The good news is that my teaching gig is much better now that I'm not two weeks behind. Instead of treading water, I'm keeping up and working hard not to fall behind. I also just got assigned a second teaching gig, so that means more money and more experience. The best part is that it's an online course, so I don't have to find childcare OR drive to campus. I have to admit I'm most excited about the "more money" aspect since I promised DH I'd put part of my paycheck towards the exorbitant electricity bill I'm expecting because I ran the a/c 24/7 while he was gone. It was the hottest 10 days of the year - what can I say?

The bad news is that means I will be around here even less. I know I don't post that much anyway, but I do read and try to comment if I have a coherent thought to add. I hate contributing to the slowness of the board.

Sometimes it works out when you totally throw yourself out and say "I'll do whatever you want - just give me a job!" Other times....you end up wearing a lightbulb costume at a childrens' museum. True story. I'm glad I don't have to wear a lightbulb costume for this gig ;-)
