How do you find patients?

I know I don't post often, for whatever reason it has become much harder since the update.

I am hoping that some of you can help me find patients with TTC #2. We had a long 3 year journey with #1 (a surprise BFP when we were waiting to start IVF), and now that AF is back I feel like I am back at the same stage I was at emotionally on our last failed cycle.

I think it is compounded by the fact that DH wants to wait 3 years of TTC before talking to a specialist again, that amount of time seams to be looming over my head and I can't help but think negatively.

Any advice?

I'm not quite on the #2 train. J is still BFing and waking a lot at night. 

If YH won't seek treatment for three years, perhaps you can compromise on two. The only other advice is to chart, but don't go overboard. Try not to pressure him constantly. IF is hard on a marriage. You need to step back and try to work on your family so that when you are surprised or finally seek treatment, your family is in a firm foundation.

DH is firmly on board the "I want another baby train", however he is convinced that and I quote "We were never infertile because we got pregnant on our own, not during treatment". I don't plan on going crazy (I'm not planning to temp until my cycle gets closer to normal), but I feel like his time line is unreasonable. My suggestion was 12 cycles after DD is done nursing.

My issue is that as soon as we decided we wanted to try for #2, when I think about TTC I go back to that sad hopeless place I was in for so long. I am having a difficult time letting the past be what it is and being optimistic, I guess.

((HUGS)) I am sorry that you are having a hard time. We also got a surprise BFP on a break cycle so my DH was right where yours is in terms of not believing we had infertility issues. I guess the four years and 5 failed treatment cycles weren't proof enough.

I don't really have any advice on how to find patience, but what I can tell you is helping me, is to focus on everything I do have. Focus all the time you can on your DD because you don't want to miss these moments with her. Easier said than done. If your DH isn't on board with going back to an RE for 3 years, there's not much you can really do about that but I agree maybe you can suggest a compromise of two years.

Hang in there. I would maybe then put a time line on it. If something doesn't happen in this amount of time we seek help. While going through this again take time out for your marriage since it does take a beating during ttc especially with all the emotions us girls go through. Hang in there!
