NBR: Anyone else (guiltily) love casseroles?

Edit:  I meant to post this on my birth month group, not really AP related :).  But comment if you care to :).

This is a random post, but I bought a cookbook this morning called "Potluck Heaven" at a fundraiser at LO's daycare, and I'm so excited to make some of the crappy casserole recipes in it!  I was raised by an extremely health-conscious mom, and I tend to eat well on average.  But put a casserole in front of me with some combination of cream of xx soup, chicken, tater tots and cheese (okay, and maybe some broccoli to make it "healthy"), and I'm all over it!  Anyone have any guilty-favorite casseroles?

  • OMG my friend makes this green bean casserole that I go nuts over. Sooooo much MSG I'm sure, but it's freaking delicious.

  • I was going to say green bean casserole too. Though I use a family recipe that some of our friends find odd. Ingredients: French cut green beans, cream of mushroom soup, sliced water chestnuts, Kraft old English cheddar. It's really really yummy, but so so bad for you! :P

  • Yum, you guys are making me hungry!
  • I think casseroles in my world are completely different. Here it just means a slow stewed dish (usually meat based)...so generally my casseroles are meat stewed with vegetables, some salt and herbs. Nothing unhealthy about it.
