Baby Mahniya and EJ were born on July 30, 2013.  At 18 weeks, Mahniya was found to have fluid compressing her brain.  Her head swelled from the pressure until they were born at 37 weeks.  She was born with a head measuring that of the average 14-month-old baby.

She had a surgury to put in a shunt to drain the fluid two days after birth, and when she couldn't eat enough on her own, she had surgery to put in a feeding tube on September 11th.

The family is going to travel to Duke University to participate in an experiemental cord blood infusion to try and minimize any brain damage.  Since it is a trial procedure, insurance does not cover any of the costs.  They are asking for prayers to heal their daughter.
