We found another bike in our yard tonight! I came home from bowling and it was in our yard. The cops have us on zone patrol and will keep an eye on our house for 30 days. The clock starts over if an incident happens again.
Little Man (4 years old---holy cow) He's the single greatest thing I've done in my life and reminds me daily of how fun (and funny) life can be. He's turned out pretty swell for having such a heartless and evil mother.
Last year someone in our old town stole a ton of kids bikes and sold them to a local consignment shop. As soon as what had happened became obvious, the store owner voluntarily called the police and took the loss and worked to get the bikes to the kids they were stolen from.

I don't understand at all. Why would someone who tried to rob from you steal bikes intentionally and then put/hide them in your yard? Did they not intend to sell the bikes? Why bring them back to your yard? It's so weird.
Yeah, we don't get it either. All the signs are pointing to teens. The cop mentioned Friday night being a scare tactic. They think they are trying to get a rise out us. I don't like the shit.
There is a pretty good re-sale market for stolen children's bikes. They are quick and easy to sell with little risk. It could be they dumped them in your yard when they saw a patrol car and didn't want to be stopped.

We have a few houses for sale in our neighborhood. One is going for less than market value because of a bad breakup. The guy just wants to get rid of it and has already moved to Florida. I can't promise that you won't have bikes in your yard, but its for good reasons. This is a very family oriented neighborhood and kids are everywhere.
Have you thought about something like a trail cam? It takes a pic when it detects motion. Mount one in a spot where you will get a view of your cars, driveway and/or bushes. You may be able to get a pic that will explain everything. There is nothing I hate more than pranks, so I can't imagine how aggravating this is for you.

I agree that the bike thing is uber weird.
I'm sorry this is happening. I hate that feeling of violation.
