I honestly can't think of any for Sydney except Syd- For Savannah I like the nn Anna or Annie or as PP mentioned Vanna. It would probably be a little bit of a stretch, but Savannah also contains the name Ava.
I defiantly do not like Sid as a nn we are safe there! I just can't think of any other nn for that name guess the nn for that one will have to be a pet name.
The only intuitive NN for Sydney is "Syd/Sid." I doubt you'd call her that very often. Sydney is a very short name and the /ee/ ending gives it a "nickname-y" feel to begin with.
The Savannah I know was called "Savvy" and "Vannah" but mostly just her full name. The only people who called her by the NNs were her younger siblings who couldn't yet pronounce her full name.
Re: Sorry, need nn help!
Please don't call Sydney "Sid"
Sydney for a girl is okay but as soon as I hear such a harsh, masculine nn on a girl I cringe.

Neither of these names are really given to NNs.
