Bright red spotting normal?

I'm 7 weeks pp. I am having bright red spotting off and on. Is bright red normal? I know you can bleed up to 8 weeks pp but I thought it would/should be dark brown. I'm not over doing (ive been snuggling my sick baby on the couch all day). Thanks!

I would def call your OB, but it could be your period returning.

Also, are you sure it's coming from the vagina?  If it's bright red from the back it could just be hemorrhoids.

im 11 weeks pp and still occasionally spotting bright red. ive heard that sex can cause spotting too because of cervix still being sensitive. everything ive looked up so far says unless its a lot -like a pad an hour- nothing to worry about. but obviously couldnt hurt to ask the doc

I've been spotting as well for the last two weeks. Very light, Sometimes bright red sometimes pink. I'm 9wks pp and its less this week. I just thought it was AF returning but no... If it were heavy I'd be more concerned.
