tubes and adenoid removed -recovery?

wow... haven't been on in a while but I have a question.  DS had tubes replaced and adenoid removed a week ago and he hasn't slept through the night since!  When he had his first set of tubes we didn't have any issues with him waking at night.  I know it's only been a week but I thought the discomfort would only last a few days.  Does anyone else have any experience with this?  I'm curious about the recovery time.  Thanks for your help.
