Baby Monitor Question?

So, we're in the throws of getting Cade's room ready. He's getting too big to keep cosleeping with us, sads. Anyways, we discovered that our current baby monitor from Rosie will not work. We had a Sony Baby Call, but the range is not enough for it to work where his room is. It worked great for Rosie, but her room is central to the house. Cade's room is at the other end of the house. So, if we are in the computer room the baby monitor doesn't work. I do not care if it's video or not. It would be a plus, but it's not important. I just want it to be able to work while I"m playing video games or making breakfast. TY.

We love our summer infant one-- we have the slim and secure but they have one that works with iphones and you can even be out at dinner and check the monitor.
