I have always been taught to go by the rule that you don't wear white pants after Labor Day.
I have recently heard from a few friends that this "rule" also pertains to white shirts, white shoes, etc. is this true? Can I still wear a white shirt? I hope so because I have alot of nice white work blouses.
I understand there is probably a lot of people who don't even go by this and think its ridiculous. But I'm asking the question for those that do follow the "rule". Thanks
Re: Labor Day rule?
I agree with all this. I actually just wore a pair of white pants to work last week and got in trouble for it- apparently they were "jeans" 8-| Anyway, I have never heard of that rule applying to shirts. That seems pretty silly.
"I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always.
As long as I'm living,
my baby you'll be."
Frankly the whole rule is silly. A beautiful tailored pair of white wool pants looks amazing and appropriate, especially with a pretty sweater, in winter. Rules be damned!
