Stroller/Cold weather ?s

If you exercise with your stroller in cold weather, how do you keep the kids warm besides warm clothing?

I have an infant fleece bunting that DS3 will still fit in and plan on using that for him. For DS2 (age 2.5) should I get a toddler sized bunting or would you use blankets or something else?

Do you use something like the rain cover for wind?

People around here seem to dress them warmly, jackets/hats/blankets, etc. I've seen people use the rain/sun covers, but not a ton. Now, it's also not super windy here ever...unless it's a tornado.

My double (which I sold) had a plastic shield to cover the kids with.  It had air holes and everything!  They'd wear their coats and be wrapped in a blanket too.

I would also put Aquaphor on their cheeks, it acts like a barrier against the wind and super cold air
