ER visit at 6 days old

Yesterday I thought my LO stopped breathing, so I immediately called 911 only to have her be totally fine.

However, they had us go to the ER anyway. We waited for like 4 hours for a doctor to only listen to her airways and tell me that she should be sleeping on her back. (I was burping her at the time of the incident)

I didn’t want to go to the hospital because I felt in my gut that everything was fine and I didn’t want her exposed to that many germs. She is only a week old! But they had a doctor on call and he said, “If it was my kid I would be rushing to the ER”. So I felt like I was being a bad mom by not going.

I’m really upset that I didn’t just listen to my intuition and now I’m all worried that she is going to get sick

Any other mom's do something like this?

My pedi mentioned this at our first appt. He told me it was terrifying but normal.
