Spotting after BM

I am currently 6 weeks 3 days pregnant. After the past two bowel movements, I have had brown spotting. (Seen on toilet paper after wiping) I haven't had any cramping. I had a miscarriage earlier this year and had spotting so I am definately worried. I did have my blood work done when I was 4 weeks 5 days and again at 5 weeks. The numbers looked good and they were doubling like they should. Any thoughts or experiences would be appreciated!

I have the same thing. I went in last week and she said that color is ok and as long as it isn't bright red or a lot of it. She said to contact her if that happens. It is scary though and I just have to keep telling myself its ok. She said at week 6 you can get implantation spotting that is that color and from pushing it is probably moving it out of there. Hope this helps!

@hbird05 just curious how she thinks you get implantation spotting at week 6??  Seems like if you are pregnant and at week 6 implantation would have already occurred....

Yeah I didn't know that could happen either. I think she meant it was leftover from that since it was brown. I actually had a clot this morning though so I will be contacting her again!

I too was spotting after BM. are you constipated by chance? when I went in to see the dr, she told me that where the poop passes is right next to the cervix... & with me, because of my constipation, she thinks the movement of the hard poop easily aggravating/scratches my cervix & causes the spotting. she said get the constipation under control & I bet the spotting will stop... so far, she has been right! FX for ya! stay positive & know that spotting after BM is common.

Yes, it is better. I'm not constipated. I had my first ultrasound yesterday and everything was good. Measuring right on schedule and the heartbeat was good, 133 beats per minute. She told me that it could be left over implantation spotting or sometimes they have no reason for it at all.
