6 month growth spurt?

Today, Jake has been a bottomless pit in terms of eating. Normally, he'll eat 6 ounces of formula every 2-3 hours. Today, we went shopping and, while at our last stop, he nearly finished off an 8 ounce bottle (did finish right when we got home). He ate another 6 ounces a couple of hours later. Then, no more than an hour after that, he ate another 8 ounces. Is this the start of a 6 month growth spurt? Or is he just having a hungry day?

sounds like a growth spurt. my DD had hers last week-she's a very small eater (24-28 oz a day on a good daY) and had a couple 30+ oz days along with 3-4 jars of food....she also took very long naps and slept 13+ hours a night...

That's what my LO is doing as well.  He's  never been a big eater, but it's like he can't be full!  And he's been sleeping like a champ.  I'm loving it!

Sounds like the growth spurt to me! I found this spurt to be the most obvious one so far with DS. There was no denying his formula intake increased and he had longer naps during the day. Can't say I was complaining though. It was a bliss since he has been teething since forever.

DD has been a bottomless pit today! Wasn't sure if it was if it was a growth spurt or because last night I didn't give her any formula after bedtime. (Dr told me not to feed her at night anymore, anyone else have their Dr tell them this?)

Same here. I had to leave work yesterday because LO had gone through all her bottles at daycare by 2pm!!!
