Didn't do much yesterday slept sporadically through out the day. I called to make an appt for my 3d sono but they were booked. Second time it's happen so I guess I am just going to wait to be surprised when she is born DH had some friends come well shall I say the babies god father and DH BFF.
Morning! I literally only slept for an hour... I had a PSL last night and I haven't had caffeine pretty much all preg so I guess it kept me up? Til 5:30 then dh alarm went off at 630. Great! Now I can't fall back asleep ( No news. Baby girl has been kicking nonstop for a few hours... Is there such a thing as too much movement? @kneenah I too don't think I have any talents!
Good morning!! Another Ambien night so I slept 8.5 hrs with a couple potty breaks. And apparently I got into a fight with my pregnancy pillow. I think I lost.
Yesterday was a weepy day. I cried over everything, especially DH leaving for the night. We'll see how today goes. My mom is supposed to come visit today.
I think my talent is online shopping. I can flip through the sites at record speed (when I have laptop) and find some wise buys. I doubt that is a true talent.

Morning everyone! Slept eh - l and d was busy last night and noisy... I can never keep in earplugs so I eventually wake up, find them or grab one from the new pile and start again.
Can I go off topic for a rant? While this is probably more for my home boards UO Thursday or flame free confessions - I feel like you ladies with extensive experience with the medical system will understand much better.
1) why can't medical professionals use the correct name for bodily fluids? About 70 percent of them do this and if I get asked one more time whether I need to take a "pee-pee" before monitoring, I may ask them for some wah-wah and a binky... I was raised by an RN to use appropriate names and body parts... When did this start?
2) I swear I do not act like a know it all - the nurses are the professionals and I defer to them on all things... however, please, in the name of all that is good and holy - let ME show you where to put the monitors to find the kids. This is only about 10 percent, but its enough. I am now over 140 monitoring sessions in with this crew. While you have 20 years of experience - I just saw the kids on ultrasound today and know precisely where they are. I KNOW that one is so far down it will need a tack because you can't actually place the monitor in my vagina. Do not "ask" me where they are, smile smugly and indulgently, drop the monitor six inches away from where my hand is showing in a circle precisely where to put the monitor, find the faintest heartbeat you can and strap it down - only for me or you to chase them around for the next hour as they slide off... Or for you to be surprised two are showing the same heartbeat because it is the same baby!
When they pull this it takes them 15 min longer to find the kids, they have to keep coming back in to chase then around (or I do, if I can make minor adjustments, I will, but its hard to unstrap and restrap the monitors from my positon). Worse yet - they sit for an entire hour unnecessarily and hold them in the "wrong" position to keep them on. It's all I can do to not be a total b and yank it out of their hands to the correct position and say "see? That wasn't hard!" The only reason I'm here is to monitor my girls and it makes me really anxious when we don't get extended good paper on them cause that's all that might let us know they're in distress before they're gone.... . Also it sucks to spend 5-6 hours of my day trying to achieve that goal rather than reading or doing something else because they're put on correctly.
*looks around sheepishly, clears throat, steps off soapbox...*. Anyways, I feel better - sorry for the rant!

Pee-pee? Seriously!? I just don't know how I'd respond to that!!!
Me: 30, DH: 40
TTC since January 2012HSG & Bloodwork: Normal, SA: NormalDx: Unexplained Infertility 50mg Clomid + TI = BFN (three cycles)
How did everyone sleep? Not well - I woke up at 5 for the last time - laid in bed for about an hour tossing and turning before deciding to just bite the bullet and get up for the morning. Perhaps I'll try a nap today.
Milestons, updates? I'm going BSC - but - my doctor has approved a small outing today (I'm on modified br). I'm going to get my haircut. She was okay with this as long as it was only roughly an hour, DH drove me there, and I sat the whole time...ummm, I don't typically jump around while getting my hair done! Lol So, it'll be nice to get out of the house - I haven't left since Sept 5.
Qotd: Do you have any talents? I can grow two humans in my body at once...that must count for something???

I am dying to get my hair done. I just detangled it.. :-(
Bitsytripmom: first don't hesitate to vent here! That's what we here for, to listen to each other on our good or bad days lol the next time they ask you "do you need to pee-pee." Tell them nope I have to take a leak lol... Joking.. I've worked in the medical field for many years and have come to realize some patients rather you use words like that., Makes them feel more comfortable. I personally won't use the word pee-pee I usually say use bathroom or ladies/men's room. The word pee-pee is really unprofessional. :-/ about the monitoring I've experienced that before. Just the other day I went to have some blood drawn I have bad veins. I tell the phlebotomist where to go she decided to go somewhere and misses. I hate to tell ppl I draw blood because some ppl get mad and think your being cocky. After she missed she ck'ed the other arm. I told her the veins there are superficial. She insisted. I had to tell her look I do this for a living and I know my veins. I had to remove the tourniquet from my other arm myself because she was so mad that she forgot. She went where I told her and almost missed because she was mad I had to tell her where to pull the needle. Next time they ask you where is baby and ignore you when you tell them just tell them " your too high or too low" and lead there hand towards the babies. I dont know about you but every time I am on those machines u have to use the bathroom. Then if they don't get the right readings you have to do it again... I rather get it right the first time...

Update: 31w 4d trying to wring out a little more time. Felt off yesterday and was put on monitors a few times. I kept hitting the highest limits of my contractions (6 per hour). Last night, I just looked exhausted - pink rimmed eyes and shadows under them. Woke up this morning to an upset stomach and contractions with back pain. I've never had pain with my contractions. I am now on monitors. I am just so tired. Tired of trying to get a bit more time, tired of worrying every time this stuff starts up, tired, tired, tired. I pray almost non-stop. I just need a break but know I can't have one.
Talents - usually I'm good at finding the bright side of things or rationalizing, but I'm so worn out.

@10-4lilbuddy - I am so sorry - I can say hang in there - but I've only been on continuous monitoring once for 11 hours and it took me days to feel right afterwards ... There's no way to get comfortable, you end up in this daze and that's not counting worrying about your LO.... We're all thinking about you and praying that some of the exhaustion goes away and everything calms down... Take care hon.
@kneenah1231... Exactly! I get the whole making the patient comfortable, but just ask if I need the restroom if you think the word "urinate" will somehow unhinge me.
I try to say "we had good luck with him here" or maybe down here a bit more? But usually they just ignore... Sigh. Not the end of the world, everyone on here has much more serious problems to deal with... It's just the one thing that's really gotten under my skin - particularly at my new hospital where I'm pretty much on a rotation of a new nurse every day.
I was so itchy all day yesterday so i took some Benadryl and slept really good except for pee breaks.
Last time I was in the hospital the nurse asked if i had to go potty...really potty?
I love to make crafts! But I don't know if that's really talented I just follow the directions
Good afternoon all! 21 weeks today! I've been here for a week and a half and it feels like 6 months! Although I'm not bored throughout the day, the days are not adding up quickly enough. Slept okay last night. Thankfully my nurses just ask me if I have to use the bathroom, I'm good with that. But pee-pee and potty? Are we two year olds? I have a question for you hospitalized mamas: what has your insurance been covering? I hit my deductible already, but am unsure what they will pay for and deem "necessary."
QOTD: I can fold my tongue in half. That's it, and its not useful ;-)
Hi Morgan! Congrats on the milestone! Just as a quick answer to your question - my insurance is supposed to cover everything above the deductible in the hospital - up until a conditional maximum. I have not seen how that has worked exactly as I haven't gotten the hospital bills yet. But they've covered all the doctors' bills that have come in from the hospital. Check and see if you have a case manager with your insurance to keep on top of bills and coverage. Sorry I don't have more for you - and good luck!
I slept horribly, par for the course lately...
My MIL came over and spent the morning with me and my best friend came over and brought me some things to craft and cooked us dinner. The hubs also finished the bathroom remodel today and then cleaned my tub so I will have a bath in a bathtub for the first time in months tonight! Overall a pretty good day.
QOTD: I'm pretty good at teaching others...sometimes I think I should have pursued teaching further.
