Hi Everyone,
I had a high risk pregnancy and asked a few questions here but now I can officially intro. I was on hospital and home bedrest for 15 weeks for a short and dilated cervix, I had gestational diabetes and an overall scary pregnancy. With the help of progesterone shots, I was able to hold on until Monday, when I delivered my daughter, Summer Elizabeth, at 36 weeks and 5 days.
Labor was short and went well. I was even able to hold her for a minute after she came out. She was gasping for air and was taken to the nicu. She was on 100 percent oxygen and quickly went down to room air within 36 hours. Summer has been in the nicu since and is supposed to be released on Monday. She was treated for jaundice and is currently on antibiotics for a suspected respiratory infection. Her doctors are all so pleased with her progress. Breast feeding has been so so hard. My milk is slow to come in, but I've got a voracious little eater!
Thanks for reading! I hope to get to know you all.
