Low fat yogurt

I have been having a hard time getting DD to drink a full 18 oz of milk a day and she won't eat cheese or yogurt so I was thinking of making her some frozen yogurt pops with plain yogurt and fruit. However, I couldn't find full fat plain yogurt at the grocery store I was at yesterday so I bought low fat. Do you think it is ok to give to her? I know they are supposed to have full fat....

Re: Low fat yogurt

  • We give DD homemade yogurt pops all the time that are made with low-fat yoghurt (so we can have them too). She loves them! I don't think low-fat yogurt pops are sufficient as the sole source of dairy in her diet, but as a additional treat, they're great!

  • Thanks y'all I will use it this time but keep trying to find full fat yogurt. I think I figured out that DD didn't like the brand of milk I bought last week. Apparently, it didn't live up to her high standards, lol. Hopefully, things will be better now that we are back to the old brand.

I thought our grocery store didn't have full fat yogurt. I finally found it in a different section.  It's in the "all natural" mini case with the Kefir and tofu and junk.  You might want to double check your store if they keep that stuff separate.
That's where our is and only one brand. You can also ask the store to order it for you if possible. If you can't get it though, NBD. I do full fat because DD is tiny. I mix it with natural applesauce and cinnamon in pouches. She loves it.
