Input needed on hcg levels

So I had my levels tested yesterday at about 4. The hcg came back at 254. HHereis the thing- I got a positive on an hpt a week ago today. Do these seem low to you considering they are almost a week out from a positive hpt? Also, I got a bfp the same dpo with ds and my levels were like 246 the morning of 13 dpo. This would have been taken the afternoon of 15 dpo.

Prog was 37.7. E as 300 something.
IF DX: DOR & Fragile X pre-mutation carrier
2011: FSH 13.3 & E 99; AMH 0.54 2nd FSH 6.2 E 40's AFC: 8
BFP from Clomid/IUI ~ Pre-e and IUGR during pregnancy ~ DS born 9/4/12
Feb./March 2013: AMH less than 0.16 (undectable) and AFC = 4;
BFP from supps ~ DS#2 due May 2014

    My last pg was 270 at 15dpo. I wouldn't be worried. The doubling is what counts, when do you go back?

    beta #2 11/28 = 2055
    Our daughter E was born 7/29/2012!
    Surprise, our 2nd daughter P was born 5/22/14!

    I think that sounds like a great number for 15dpo. My RE's office only asks for 100 around that point. And, I wouldn't worry about the pregnancy test thing. With the way people talk about betas and POASing around here, it seems like those things pick up levels much lower than the box says.

    My beta at 14dpo with DD was 87, so I think that's a good number!

    I just read where apparently pree pregnancies are known to have very high early betas...so maybe that was the issue with ds.

    Was you last cycle a fresh cycle? And this cycle an FET? If so that could be the difference. Fresh cycles start off faster than frozen ones do, they can take a little long to get going really good! I remember mine were really slow to start then they kicked off really well and we had a perfect heart beat at 6 weeks! So just keep up the positive thinking and we will keep sending sticky vibes!

    Started TTC in 2006, LOTS of trying, and trying, and 7 rounds of IVF with 13 embryos, 2 perfect little boys and 5 loses....
    All finished with babies, started to make diet changes, Keto, to be MORE for my kids, lost 30 pounds, still going, and 3 months in, I had a natural cycle, and then ovulated... Hubs and I are going to see what happens now... Maybe a natural pregnancy? After everything we have been through? Or just a return to normal hormones? We shall see what the future holds!

    No. Neither one was an fet. First was drugs+iui and second spontaneous. I was on progesterone with number 1. Could that make a difference?

    If this was a surprise, then it could just be you implanted a little later than you thought... Your first was induced and you knew when you ovulated within hours, and this time you're guessing so i would think your are very pregnant, and just off by a day or 2 on implantation.... At your ultrasound you will see for sure, but for now just enjoy these early days of being pregnant! :o) and congrats on your surprise baby! :o)

    Well, I got a positive hpt on 9 dpo with both so regardlessof when O was, implantation occurred about the same time.

    Plus, I am nearly certain of when I o'dthis ccycle. I am actually less certain of when I od on my iui cycle because the clinic f'd up my cycle so bad. Dh and I have often wondered if ds was conceived before the iui...which would actually make sense to the high hcg levels early on with ds. I looked back at my chart and my hcg was 248 on the morning of 13 dpiui.

    My RE wants to see anything over 100 on 14dpo so your number sounds great. Try not to worry about when you got your faint positive and what level of sensitivity it was or you will drive yourself crazy. :p. i know it is easier said than done because Ive been there done that. GL with your next draw!!!

    Plus, if I od before the iui (as I have long suspected with ds) and was really about 15 dpo instead of 13, the numbers from this pregnancy and ds pregnancy would be almost identical. 254 v 248.

    I suspect it is either this or the fact that ds was a pree pregnancy because everything I look at says 254 at 15 dpo is normal but 248 at 13 dpo is really high. Pree pregnancy have very high hcg levels at the start of pregnancy. And I had severe pree with ds.

    My beta at 13dp3dt (or 16dpo) with DS was 288. 254 at 15dpo is great.
