So DD is 5.5 months and I'm lurking before officially joining this board on October 1st.  Does anyone else get excited about LO growing up?  I feel like so many people ask me if I'm sad she's not a small baby anymore - and I have to reply no, I'm too excited about the next milestone! I love the changes and sometimes I feel like people look at me crazy when I say I'm excited to see her grow and develop everyday and I'm not mourning the loss of an itty bitty baby (though she wasn't ever really itty bitty, haha).

Sometimes. Actually, I was just thinking today that I can't wait until DS can talk so we can sit and talk together!

Yes, it definitely excites me.  I think it will always be bittersweet in some ways, but when DS was a baby I used to think how fun it would be when he could talk and everything, and it is!  It's so much fun seeing what's he's grown into already from being that little baby, so it's exciting to think of what other ways he'll grow and change in the coming years.

So excited!  On some rare days I miss the newborn cuddly stage.  More often though, I'm so excited for her to get older and be able to do things with us.  Like I can't wait to be able to take her to amusement parks and to pumpkin patches.  I'm sure one day I'll miss having a baby but I'm so excited for what's to come!
