MOTY

For those of you who are just dying for your babies to speak be careful what you wish for!!   So this morning we are cuddled up in bed and I start to watch a College Humor video on Gay Marriage called "We will marry your girlfriends".  And my son is next to me and he's playing with his stuffed Elephant.

There's a part where one of the guys says they'll make the girlfriend a quiche and another guy chimes in and says "A Mothereffing Quiche".  Except he didn't say mothereffing he said the real word.  My son takes his paci out of his mouth and clear as a bell says "Mothereffing Quiche!!".  OMG!  I died but quickly said we don't say that word and then he responded back "Quiche".   Here's hoping "Quiche" is the only word that sticks.

I can just see him asking grandma for his Mothereffing Sippy.  Whoops!

  • hahaha... I posted a while back that DD had repeated "Goddammit" after she heard me say it. Fortunately, she has only said it once and never again. I often worry though that she will overhear the TV and pick up on something. It's funny, but I never realized how much swearing was in some of the shows I like to watch. With Netflix, nothing is censored, so I need to keep it kid-friendly when DD is around.

  • Yeah, they're such sponges these days and pick up on things you wouldn't necessarily think they'd even pay attention to.  I've been really careful about what I say around Ian because I know it's going to pop out of his mouth some time, so I've been really careful.  I am glad I've been really careful because the other night, it was time to eat, so I said "Let's go eat some pizza".  Out of his mouth, plane as day, "Let's go eat some pizza".  The whole sentence!  I was a little shocked because that's a lot to say, but he said it!

  • Yeah, in an effort to clean up my language I stopped saying "shit" when she started talking.

Now Allison's favorite word is "crap."  Fail.

  • hahahah!
I never say "Oh my God" I always say "gosh" but the other day I was telling a story and someone in the story said "Oh my God" and Emma said "OH MAH GAH" Now she says it all the time. The other day she was taking a bath and I was doing my hair in the bathroom, she opened a bath book and hollered "OH MAH GAH!" My H is not very happy about it. haha it could be worse, though.
