Maybe it's good Kim isn't here, so that I can say, guilt-free, that I'm going to go have a big old bowl of cinnamon life cereal.

I am so glad my husband is awake and just left for work. I would have woke him with my uncontrollable laughter.

Watch as soon as I say this she will pop up...I bought a dozen fresh made donuts from the bakery while grocery shopping earlier...and I ate one before I even unpacked groceries :x

  • Ok, since @mrskeyte9 posted a pic of her super cute doggie I feel the need to share what I am thankful for this morning. The little midget loves my belly. Not sure what he is going to do once I lose the baby though.

  • Insomniac reporting!! :D

I was reading the 5 page long thread about FF vs BF ughhh way too much drama to get wrapped up in for tonight. I might wind up with a curse on my family or something.

The hospital gown thread is seriously the most fun I have had in a long time on TB. And by a long time, I'm probably meaning like, a week, since in Bump times it feels like a couple of months.

Yum! Fresh made donuts!! I just had a fudge round and a big glass if milk. I am still hungry so grabbed another glass of milk and make oatmeal. Not sure why that sounds great to me right now.

That FF/BF post was crazy. I don't think OP deserved soooo much hate, but I'm gathering that that's a pretty UO right now. Haha. And I think I only got through a few pages of the hospital gown thread. It was pretty funny, though.

    Glad you made it!

Gah! I love it! I loooove fur babies!! So cute! Mines been super cuddly lately! She's still a puppy but we've definitely noticed her calming down in the past month.

  • Happy Birthday Loppy! My BFF's birthday is today too, and she was also born on a Friday the 13th :) 9/13ers are awesome-sauce!

I wanted to get some shit done tonight, but instead, I took too many TUMs and overdosed on calcium carbonate. Who the fuck does that???

So I napped from like, I don't know 5-7 or so, then I just laid in bed because it seriously still felt like someone cracked me in the skull with a metal bat. It was awful, like, it felt like I'd taken multiple doses of Hydrocodone. I was out of it, slurring speech, slightly confused. Pulses were regular but really slow compared to the rest of pregnancy. It was a headachey, hit-by-a-bus feeling, and I was tempted to call the doctor, but I knew it wasn't pregnancy related so it would've been really pointless of me.
I took too many TUMs because my stupid reflux got really bad around 4 PM and I felt like I was going to projectile vomit stomach acid. I guess I should've put a TMI warning there, sorry guise.

No matter how shitty I felt, DH stayed by my side. Then his tummy started to hurt.. Aww, poor thing! ;) So once I was feeling a little better -- okay not really, I felt like about 50% and probably shouldn't have been driving (due to nausea) -- I went on up to Giant to get some tummy tablets and ginger ale for him. I felt so sick I didn't think I was going to make it home without pulling over to hurl.

In other news, I might have a maternity pics AW post tomorrow. Since I've never even participated in HDBD once, maybe you will all be amused... This is basically what my tummy looks like

  • @msronzio: I'm sorry you didn't feel good all day. :( That's the worst. I'm lucky that I never have to take more than two TUMS a day, always at night about an hour after I lie down. I get the smoothies kinds, which are waaay better than the original, but I still hate how they make my mouth feel. Bleh.

You're so good for taking care of your honey when you weren't feeling well! Good for you. I hope you're both feeling good tomorrow.

I can't WAAAIT to see your maternity pics! Seriously, so excited!!!

I don't see what the big deal was with her post either, I'm in the UO boat with you. Sure proclaims of "it's as bad as pepsi" and "it's chemicals" are ridiculous. But I don't see how that offended anyone else? She got a little defensive toward page 4 but I would too. Then I was trying to figure out if it was just MUD considering a poster pointed out that a daycare wouldn't give formula without the parent's consent first. Due to the allergies etc thing. And I don't envision them going "okay so your 3 month old doesn't have any allergies, correct?" Well how the hell should I know, he's 3, lol. There isn't a whole lot you give them before that age. What I'm assuming is that it's either MUD, or the mother was pissed because she already consented on a form that in the event something were to happen, the DCP were allowed to administer formula.

I'm on the fence with that one. We eat fairly organic, but we don't own our own land -- so we can't raise crops and animals (although that remains a possible future goal of ours). The truth is, you can't 100% trust the FDA, especially if the FDA doesn't regulate certain items. This even means "USDA approved organic" shit. How do we know where our food is coming from?

Didn't mean to turn this into such a long post, but oh well. I'm not even remotely tired and I have to be up in a few hours :(

  • The smoothies are great. I used the peppermint flavored ones until we ran out, but now we have the mixed berry flavor which taste like a rotten strawberry's asshole. My dumb ass didn't realize we got the Ultra TUMs and I took four of them. Within a half hour. Idiot! Gosh!

Lmao can't believe I waited until 38wks to get maternity pics. I count myself seriously lucky. Cause I don't know if I could do this again. Can't wait to post them though :) Oh and I still have to complete the nursery. Procrastinator of the year award.

I still don't feel 100%, but I'm getting there. I have learned my lesson :(

Yup, I feel the same way you do. I would be pissed if I were her, but her comments about it being like pepsi and likening it to poison were a little much. I think people reeeally overreacted to her. I honestly don't think she set out to make anyone feel bad about their decisions about how they feed their children. She just stated that it wasn't what she wanted for her family, which is perfectly reasonable to me. People jumped on the hate train very quickly.

Sometimes when the baby moves I hear little pops. It's not my bag of waters. WTF is going on in there?

I think someone posted a thread about this a while back and an OB told one poster that it was the baby's joints popping. I have had this happening the past few days and it completely weirds me out. I never experienced it with DD!

That is so interesting.  I don't recall that post, but I am learning that I am not remembering a lot lately.  Who would have thought our baby's joints are popping and that we could hear them.

It was my post. Titled 'clicking baby' or something like that. Dh heard it the other day and it totally creeped him out!

  • When I have insomnia I don't go to the bump during it (instead I either lie in bed trying to sleep, or I do some work on my computer to try to bore myself to sleep.) I'll sometimes complain about it on the bump afterwards but I've only done that a few times. The reason I say all of this is that there were probably lots of people from this board having trouble sleeping last night! As for me I was awake for about an hour in the middle of the night. Some nights are better (the previous one was), but some nights are substantially worse (the night before that was -- up permanently around 3:30 or 4).

I was responding to the OP's statement that she's jealous that the insomnia post wasn't up yet because it meant other people were sleeping well. Just saying some of us still aren't, adding solidarity. I didn't read all of the other posts before doing that so I think my post appears really random at this point, sorry!

  • This is random (happybride I am looking at you!) I slept last night!!!! I think I found the trigger to my insomnia. It was the "sleepy time" tea I was drinking. And this is reason #123.5 that pregnancy is not my friend. You think something will work one way... and it doesn't. (i.e. drink milk and get heartburn, wth?)

Yeah I often just reply to the OP when I see a new post without reading all of the others first; it's a bad habit. And I had no idea that this one was super active even as I was reading/writing. Like, I posted my thing, left it for a few min, and then got one of those notifications that said "47 new posts." Wow! And immediately realized my post probably seemed extremely random in the middle of whatever conversation was going on!
