Intro and Fetal Fibronectin Question

Hi Ladies. I'm 29 weeks and 4 days with my first and am expecting a little girl Nov 24th. I had an ultrasound on Monday to see if my partial placenta previa has corrected itself, which thankfully it has, however, the radiologist saw that my cervix is now only 2 cm. I had my normal checkup yesterday and my dr. decided to do the fetal fibronectin test. Unfortunately, it tested positive. They put me on modified rest so I can go to work but basically bed rest when I am not working. They are sending me in for another ultrasound next week but I was just wondering if there are any STMs out there that tested positive but carried to full term? TIA.

My ob told me a negative is 99% accurate but a positive is not full proof meaning you may or may not go into labor in the next 2 wks; could be a false positive. I've seen girls on here go into labor and not go into labor with a positive.

I'm a little surprised your dr is allowing you to work and drive with a positive at 29wks. I went into ptl at 24wks and had only negative FFN and was put on bed rest immediately and pulled from work. 11wks later I'm still on bed rest and only days away from term. I am not dilated and haven't been.

I had a positive FFN on 8/26, still cooking. good luck!

I had a positive at 25 weeks...I'm 29 weeks now and still pregnant

With my last pregnancy I had a positive at 28 weeks, but they were all negative after that. I made it to my scheduled c-section date at 37 weeks. Good luck!

I had a positive with my last daughter and my water broke a few days later at 27 weeks. I delivered at 28 weeks. I had a positive this pregnancy at 27 weeks and they put me on strict bedrest. Still cooking at almost 30 weeks!
