High-Risk Pregnancy

Help

I am back on anti-partum. I am 33 weeks and 3 days. I have now had two rounds of beta and one round of mag. One MFM dr said he was not longer going to stop me if I went into labor. I started dilating yesterday I got to 3cm + 25% effaced and long, but no measurement has been taken, and the MFM dr on call decided to give me procardia. It has slowed the contractions, but I still feel them, I can even tell you when I am due for procardia based on contractions. Tomorrow morning I get another ultrasound and they are talking about sending me home like this, I live alone except for my kids, I am terrified I am gong to just go into labor, because we are only talking 1cm till the drs are going to consider me in active full labor. So help me out ladies, what do I do? Go home and chance it or fight to stay here and labor?

Re: Help

  • Sometimes labor can stop or slow down and doctors will send you home to be I the comfort of your own home. However, you are still kind of early so I would think they want you to get to 34 weeks and then 36weeks. See how the next doctor talks go. Then just have a plan in place should they send you home. Since you know what contractions feel like, you will know if they start to pick up and you got to get to hospital
