Babies: 3 - 6 Months

Old Navy sizing

DS is 4.5 months and 19 lbs. Old Navy 12-18 month pants are too tight on him even thought it's for babies 22-28 lbs. What the heck? so does that mean I get his pants from the toddlers section now? if so, what size do I get? I really like Old Navy for clothes because they are cheap and so adorable. I don't know what to do?? He can fit into sweats just fine for his age but not for anythng else.

  • You might try their painters pants (carpenter style).

  • I'm not buying Old Navy for DS because the sizing was so weird for DD - like she's be a full size bigger than all her other clothes, and she'd outgrow the Old Navy ones first.  It was hard to buy clothes there.

see, the tops are right on sizing so I dont understand the difference for bottoms. I hate Walmart pants and Carter's seem to only sell things in sets
  • I always have problems with my own size old navy stuff. None of it is cut the same. Randomly though I bought a couple of onesies for LO and found they for kind of big for the size.
  • Have you checked out Once Upon a Child for Carter's pieces? Pants are pants, so I don't need sets, as you also seemed to be expressing. I also don't have to have this years stuff (jeans, khakis, etc for boys don't change THAT much).

ON pants run long and skinny. Carter's are a bit wider cut and Gymboree run large. If you can find a Gymboree outlet you can get good deals. I also second looking at consignment stores...there can be some very good deals!
