Random littering question

Just something that popped into my head as I threw a puckered grape out the car window into the woods the other day.  Do you consider it littering if you throw out something that is biodegradable, like a grape?

I always fancifully thought maybe I was feeding some starving squirrel, but wondering how everyone else feels...is that still littering?  Even though I did it, I made sure no other cars saw me, so I feel like my subconscious is telling me not to do it!

If I'm eating fruit in the car I always throw the core/pit/stone into wooded areas. I don't consider that littering and I secretly hope a plant/tree is an end result. I don't throw peels or any other garbage out the window. Probably why my car is a mess half the time.

Hmm I think it depends where you are in a neighborhood so it's in people's yards, yes it's littering, if your in the county or wooded area no.

Biodegradables like food, no. I thrown my apple cores and banana peels out the window all the time. Like belle said though, I don't do it when I'm in town, just passing a field, swamp, the woods, etc.

I threw my banana peel out the window yesterday. But it wasn't by anyone's house and way in the country.
