Re: .

  • It really helps to know your timing is on. I recommend opks, charting or both. I bought the wonfo brand on amazon. They're really cheap and you can buy them with pregnancy tests too. Good luck and remember even when there are no issues and with perfect timing there is only a 20% chance of getting pregnant per cycle so it stands to reason it could take some time, even if nothing is "wrong."
Me:39 Dx LPD, Fibroid, AMA and all that goes with that. H:37 Dx low motility and low morphology. TTC since 3/12. Clomid 8/12 and 9/12: BFN. 11/12 on a break for Myomectomy sched. 11/26. Resume TTC early 2013.

  • Give your body some time off the pill... but if you want to get serious then charting with OPKs is as proactive as you can be without going to an RE.   Also 5 BFNs isn't that long... some ladies on this board have been trying well over a year.  We are at 18months.

  • Opk's won't hurt any. Just keep in mind that they only let you know that your body is getting ready to ovulate. Does not tell you if you did or not. So if you get a positive( the second line has to be as dark if not darker than the control line)you should BD the next few days.
I agree with pp about getting them on amazon.

  • I highly recommend signing up to fertility friend. They have awesome tutorials that explain how to temp and chart. I also read the book taking charge of your fertility it helped explain a lot also.

    Good Luck TTC.

  • I'd do it. I used OPK's both times I got pregnant - at 34/5 and 38.

  • you have still been taking hormone suppressents... even if you missed some.  That does crazy things to your hormones ( for example phantom symptoms) that is all normal when coming off the pill.  Give yourself some time to get a normal cycle and breathe... if you are not pregnant in six months see your doctor.  Good luck

you need to understand the menstrual cycle better. much better.

as for OPK's, yes, I like them, but you need to understand how and when to use them.
