How late are your docs/midwifes willing to let you go before inducing (assuming all is going well)?

I have GD so my doctor originally said I need to deliver by my due date.  Since I have been able to control so well on diet alone, she said that if my cervix isn't optimal for an induction she'd let me go 1 week over my due date but no more than that.  At 38.5 weeks (yesterday) I was 1 cm dilated and my cervix was still long which is when she said she'd let me go a week over my due date.  Fingers crossed she comes on her own....I'm ready anytime!

My Dr. hasn't mentioned any dates... starting NSTs Monday at 41 weeks and I assume we'll play it by ear.

Just had this convo yesterday (39.2). We'll talk induction at 41w.

42, but I start BPPs at 40&3 and will have one every 3-4 days. As soon as there is an issue with anything they induce that day. If I start getting super uncomfortable they may talk about it but not until after 41 weeks.

With DS, the doctors I went to routinely induced at 41w.  I declined and was scheduled for 42 weeks, but DS came on his own at 41w5d.  I don't know what my current office's policy is, but I will ask to wait until 42 again unless there is medical necessity.

My drs will only induce at 41 unless medically necessary before. However, if I wanted, they'd let me go to 42 weeks (hell no!).

Standard protocol here is 41w5d. They'll put me on the schedule at my 40w appointment and hope that I don't need it.

She doesn't want me to go beyond EDD because of my HBP and GD. If there's some change to my cervix and things look ready, she would like for us to consider induction at next week's appt (39 weeks). She's not an induction happy doc, but definitely is worried about my health issues and effects on LO. I'm hoping I go sooner so I don't have to make that decision!

We haven't discussed it yet. I'm sort of assuming I'll deliver by my due date because DS was 4 days early, but I realize there's a lot of noise in the system and that could just as easily NOT happen! I'm really hoping for being 3 days early due to when we have a family member visiting. And honestly if I don't deliver by 40w1d I might want to hold out another 4 days until the next family member comes for a visit! Because we have DS and no family in the area it's really nice if the baby comes while someone is visiting, rather than at a time when we have to a) scramble to make sure one of our babysitters is available (even though we've already discussed it with them) and b) pay the babysitter, esp for overnight(s).

They recommended 41, but said I could choose to go to 42 if I really wanted to. I'll be inducing at 40w6d (TUESDAY!!) if she doesn't show up soon!

42 weeks provided everything looks alright at the 41 weeks and 3 day NST and ultrasound.

Last time they let me go to 41w3d.  This time they want to induce by 40w2/3d but we will do a few days earlier (39w5d-40w) due to DH work schedule.

I am not sure on what my actual induction date would be but if I don't go into labor on my own by next Thursday (40weeks and 3days) then we will set a u/s and NST. At that same time we will set an induction date.

Seem to be same as other moms with GD. They originally said "not much longer than EDD". Last week I found out if I haven't delivered by the 18th, 39wks 4d, they will schedule induction no later than the 22nd, 40wks 2d.
