I'm having a hard time deciding a color scheme for a conjoined room for the new baby and dd. (both girls) I'm not really into all the pinks and purple. Kind of thinking more along the lines of orange, yellow, and aqua. But from there I draw a complete blank! Would it be to weird if I chose a different accent color for each girl's side? Should I try to match both sides together? I'm lost and could use some help from some creative minds !
Yeah the more I think about it, I like the idea of it. I'm just confused on a color scheme ? I feel like using yellow and orange would clash and be too tacky ?

I love the idea of a different accent color on each girl's wall (and I love orange and aqua together). I had hard time picking colors too and I ended up picking artwork first and then choosing a paint color to go with the art I had chosen.
This is just a example of what you can do with aqua, oranges, and yellows for a girl's room. We had a boy, but if we'd had a girl, this was the art I had chosen to base her room off of. I liked that it was cheery and still "girly" but there was only a little hint of pink:
I like the ideaof different color accents for each girl.
I'm having a girl and I'm not big on all the pinks and purples either, so I'm going for a spring color mix for her room, with my main colors being gray, light blue, orange and pink. I think it will still be pretty girly, but the furniture will be dark woods and otherwise gender neutral for some freedom to reuse if we have a boy in the future.
What about painting 2 or 3 color stripes and then choosing one of tge colors as an accents? You could use a neutral and two accent colors - one for eavh girl.

There's a gypsy nursery bedding set that uses these colors. Have fun!

You could also do coral red and aqua.
